MeetBrief (“Service”) is an AI-powered meeting assistant operated by an independent developer based in India.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store, and protect your information when you use MeetBrief.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Authentication identifier (Clerk user ID)
  • Login method (Google OAuth or email/password)

Authentication and session management are provided by Clerk, which securely manages login credentials and session tokens.

B. Google Calendar Data

With your explicit consent, MeetBrief accesses your Google Calendar using the following scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly

This scope provides read-only access to calendar events including:

  • Event title
  • Event description
  • Event date and time
  • Meeting duration
  • Meeting link
  • Participant list

MeetBrief does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or any other Google services. We do not create, edit, or delete calendar events.

C. OAuth Tokens

To access Google Calendar on your behalf, encrypted OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are stored securely.

  • Tokens are encrypted during storage
  • Used only for authorized calendar access
  • Revoked when you disconnect your Google account
  • Permanently deleted when your account is deleted

D. Meeting Data

  • Meeting audio is temporarily processed for transcription
  • Transcripts are generated from meeting audio
  • AI-generated summaries and action items are created from transcripts

Meeting transcripts and summaries are stored in your account so you can review them later.

Audio and video recordings are not permanently stored and are deleted immediately after transcription processing.

Transcripts may contain personal information shared during meetings. You are responsible for ensuring that any required consent from meeting participants has been obtained.

E. Usage & Technical Data

  • Meeting duration
  • Monthly usage metrics
  • Device type
  • Browser type
  • IP address
  • Operational logs

This information is used only for reliability, debugging, security monitoring, and performance improvements.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Identify upcoming meetings
  • Allow the MeetBrief bot to join meetings
  • Generate meeting transcripts
  • Generate AI-powered summaries and action items
  • Manage and maintain your account
  • Enforce usage limits
  • Improve service reliability and performance
  • Provide customer support
  • Communicate service updates

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data and we do not use user data for advertising.

3. AI Processing

Meeting transcripts generated from meeting audio may be processed by an AI service provider (Google Gemini API) solely to generate summaries and action items.

Google Calendar data obtained through Google APIs is used only to identify meetings and schedule the meeting bot. Google Calendar data is not transmitted to the AI provider.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

  • Google — OAuth authentication and Calendar API
  • Clerk — authentication and session management
  • Skribby — meeting bot participation and transcription
  • Google Gemini API — AI summaries and action items
  • Vercel — hosting infrastructure
  • PostgreSQL provider — secure data storage

5. Data Sharing with Service Providers

MeetBrief uses trusted service providers to operate the service infrastructure and process meeting data.

Google user data obtained through the Google Calendar API is used only to identify scheduled meetings and allow the meeting bot to join those meetings. This Google Calendar data is not transmitted to AI processing services.

Meeting transcripts generated from meeting audio may be processed by AI services (such as the Google Gemini API) solely for generating summaries and action items.

Service providers process data only on our behalf and must maintain strict confidentiality and security protections.

We do not sell Google user data and we do not share Google user data for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Google API Services Limited Use Disclosure

MeetBrief’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Data Retention

Calendar metadata, transcripts, summaries, and action items are stored while your account remains active.

Meeting audio and video recordings are deleted immediately after transcription processing.

OAuth tokens are revoked and deleted when you disconnect your Google account or delete your MeetBrief account.

8. Your Rights

  • Delete your account from your dashboard
  • Request deletion via support@meetbrief.app
  • Revoke Google access through your Google account
  • Request a copy of your stored data

Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

9. Security

  • HTTPS encryption (TLS)
  • Encrypted OAuth token storage

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and secure session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

11. Children’s Privacy

MeetBrief is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected on this page with the revised "Last updated" date.
